8 Week Course
We have served in teen ministry for over a decade. In addition we have taught teen parenting classes for a number of years. Having spent time in both camps we feel God has equipped us with a balanced perspective on this often challenging topic.
In this course we will explore the following teen issues:
– Technology and its mesmerizing (and sometimes dangerous) effects
– Blending the culture and our faith
– Friendship parenting vs. rigid parenting
– Quality communication
– Quality time
– Effective discipline
And so much more. Through an nine-week study we will strive to equip parents with wisdom taken from God’s Word.
But we won’t stop there…
We believe that in addition to learning excellent parenting skills we must make a critical step first by learning to be an excellent child of God. We believe that the quality of our parenting runs in direct correlation with our relationship with our heavenly Father. The better our relationship with God, the better positioned we are for a healthy successful relationship with our children.
So whether you are the parent of a teen or a parent preparing for the teen years, come and join us. Let’s explore what God’s Word has to say on the subject of parenting so the word teenager conjures warm, rewarding, and exciting images in our hearts and minds.
This class is held on Wednesday nights at Faith Assembly church in Hazelton, Pa. The required curriculum is the Inside the Gray text and workbook. The text is $15 and the workbook is $10.
